China: Station Shine Chairs

Often I wander in the middle of the night to photograph and have done so in many cities. Beijing is a major metropolis that dwarfs New York City, yet, I felt comfortable roaming alone. Beijing is connected by a very efficient subway system. It is generally clean and with little graffiti to be found. It was a great find at about 4:30 am on a weekday. Before the rush of millions through these tubes, chairs left by shoe shiners overnight just sit the waiting. The empty halls lined with Great Wall photographs really was interesting to me.
