I recently spent four days in Death Valley in California and loved it. I have seen so much color work done there that when I went to work on my images I decided black and white seemed to bring the focus on the textures better. There are so many different environments to explore. Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes, Bad Water Basin and The Devil’s Golf Course to name a few. You can stay in Stovepipe Wells for a good base camp if you don’t want to camp, either way, make the trip, camera or not.
